Overview
PTFE tubing is semi-transparent, chemically inert, and non-toxic, having a low-friction interior which facilitates the flow of fluids and enables resistance to almost all industrial chemicals. It can withstand service temperatures up to 260°C and has a breakdown voltage of up to 100 kV/mm, making it suitable for high-temperature fluid transport and electrical insulation. Teflon piping is used in a variety of applications, including chemical processing, medical devices, automotive systems, cabling, and heat-exchanger assemblies, in any situation where a pipe must carry aggressive materials or be placed near a heat source without deteriorating.
